Main characters:

(In parentheses, their name in the original Japanese version.)

Dr. Thomas Light (Dr. Thomas Right)

A renowned scientist for his creations in robotics, he despises all forms of violence and considers Mega Man to be his son.

Dr. Albert Wily

Former assistant to Dr. Light, he turned against him, reprogramming his robots for warlike purposes.

Proto Man (Blues)

The first new-generation robot designed by Light and Wily, he disappeared shortly after his “activation”. He is later found in Mega Man 3 under the name “Break Man”. He’s a loner, only intervening on rare occasions to lend a hand to Mega Man.

Rock, who became Mega Man (Rockman)

A robot created by Wily and Light during their time working together. With a strong sense of justice, he was originally meant to assist the two scientists in their experiments. However, when Wily revealed his dangerous nature, Light turned him into a combat robot. His plasma cannon grafted to his arm allows him to “copy” the weapon of defeated robot masters.

Roll

She’s Rock’s doll sister, helping Dr. Light with household chores. Surprised, aren’t you?

Rush

Light created this robotic dog to assist Mega Man in his missions. He appears in Mega Man 3.

Eddy alias “Flip Top”

Another creation of Dr. Light, Eddy is a suitcase on legs that carries power-ups for Mega Man. He appears in the fourth episode.

Beat

A mechanical bird designed by Dr. Cossack and given to Rock in Mega Man 5.

Bass (Forte)

Created by Wily to counter Mega Man, Bass has only one obsession: proving that he is the strongest. But his rivalry sometimes makes him uncontrollable. He is first seen in Mega Man 7 with his partner, Treble.

Treble (Gospel)

Wily built Bass based on the model of Mega Man and Rush, so he also gave him a canine companion.
