Wily returns with eight of his custom-built Robot Masters, and once again, Mega Man defeats him…
I won’t bore you with the finer points of the plot. As for new features, there’s the introduction of a password system to resume your progress, three mobility “items” (movable platforms summoned on demand, which don’t yet look like a dog), and deferred-use energy capsules (the rectangles marked with an “E”).
Note that Mega Man 2 is significantly easier than its predecessor (despite the presence of two difficulty levels). Choose the “hard” mode right away and without fear.
Suggested order:
Air Man > Crash Man > Flash Man > Quick Man > Metal Man > Bubble Man > Heat Man > Wood Man
Air Man is very easy to beat if you don’t try to avoid his shots: get close and shoot!
