How could I have missed such a curiosity! It’s a sort of concept-game spread over eight levels (unfortunately, only eight). An android head in the middle of the screen, wires everywhere, colourful gizmos flashing, a psychedelic soundtrack by Stephane Picq (Dune)… Everything I love!
The aim of the game: wake up the beauty by repairing the connections of her electronic brain before your opponent. You can sabotage their work, steal elements from their circuit; but beware, they can do the same to you! The controls are a bit tricky at first, but you only need to do nothing and wait for the demo to start to figure out how to proceed.
A word on the “music”: it’s actually a mix of samples played sporadically depending on the actions of the two players (human or computer). This creates a maelström of sounds that adds to the very odd atmosphere of the game.
