A free and amateurish (and somewhat late) adaptation of the legendary Jet Set Willy (ZX Spectrum, 1984), which follows Manic Miner.
It’s the simplest platform game there is, and yet, I find it more inventive and fun than the majority of the dull and linear titles we were served in the 1990s.
The pitch: 465 objects to find in the rooms of a gigantic house, a multitude of secret places, and an option to save (press “S”). Two omissions compared to the original version: the ropes attached to the ceiling you could swing on, and the arrows that would cross the screen horizontally.
Tip: jump just before the base of a staircase to pass through.
If you want more, try You Have to Win the Game (2012).
