From the images, I expected a clone of Block Out, but the gameplay is quite different. You move the pieces using the numeric keypad. They are displayed on a grid perpendicular to the central play area, creating a depth effect (and a certain sense of confusion at first). I find the idea interesting, but the 3D styling is unnecessary. It’s nothing more than a variation of Tetris where the blocks fall in four directions. Moreover, unlike Block Out, it only offers one mode of play, which is enjoyable but limited.
Shortly after, a “public domain” version (an amateur counterfeit) called Welltrix will be released.
