I’ve destroyed some joysticks playing this (and I seriously compromised the lifespan of my keyboard trying to play it again on emulator).
It cracks me up, not sure if it’s intentional, but just look at their faces!
Out of the eight wrestlers available, only three WWF figures can be controlled (Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, or The British Bulldog), and only by player 1, because in two-player mode, the second player is always stuck with Mister Perfect. A bit of a letdown.
The game is fairly easy to control (and surprisingly fun, in spite of itself) but far too simplistic and repetitive to keep us hooked for long.
If you’re after a good retro WWF-licensed wrestling game, try looking at arcade games (WWF WrestleFest, for example).
