Smash TV is a futuristic TV show, in the style of Running Man, where you have to kill hundreds of people to win toasters and trips… Youngsters will probably think of Hunger Games (the old ones, however, will remember The Prize of Peril).
It’s a variant of Robotron: 2084 (arcade, 1982), dressed up and playable by two players. I’d recommend trying the original version on an arcade emulator.
Of a similar kind: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (2014), Enter the Gungeon (2016), Gone Viral (2021), and of course Total Carnage (arcade, 1992).
