The extravagant title is a nod to the famous headline from The Sun: Freddie Starr ate my hamster (1986).
In this parody game, you’re given the chance to manage a rock band! Start by recruiting its members from a list of about fifty caricatured international artists (Bill Collins, Wacky Jacko, Derek Clapout, Bruce Stringbean, Witless Houston, String, Tina Turnoff, Annie Smallpox!), choose a name, organise the schedule, and make all the decisions necessary to propel your band to the top. You’ve got a year to record an album and win four gold records! All this, of course, while avoiding bankruptcy and dealing with the whims of your divas.
As long as you have some basic knowledge of English, you’ll enjoy yourself with this very simple showbiz simulator, which is packed with references to pop music (mostly British). However, it doesn’t take long to get through it. It would make a great mobile phone game…
