No, it’s not Chucky. And it’s not a clown either. Nicky is just a disturbed little boy who throws apple cores at people. Oh, and a witch kidnapped his grandfather—don’t even get me started.
Objectively speaking, and despite appearances, this is the perfect platformer! The character controls like a dream, there are secrets everywhere, constantly changing monsters and environments, plus passwords. See? It could be done!
I can’t help but notice a family resemblance to Turrican, don’t you?
Its sequel, Nicky 2, was released in 1993.
