Also known as Krusty’s Super Fun House, this game, branded with The Simpsons, is an adaptation of a lesser-known Amiga title: Rat Trap, with Krusty the Clown replacing the original protagonist.
I’m not particularly fond of Krusty, and I don’t understand why they didn’t keep the original (more bearable) music. However, the addition of a “password” feature is a welcome change. The concept is borrowed from Lemmings: guide a line of rats towards an exit (which, in this case, is a trap). Unfortunately, the gameplay remains rather limited. The difficulty doesn’t really ramp up; the later levels just get longer and more tedious.
The Super Nintendo version holds a slight edge, thanks to its sound effects and background scenery.
