Tinkerbell has whisked you away to Neverland to rescue your children, kidnapped by your arch-nemesis, Captain Hook…

It’s the video game adaptation of the favourite film of an entire generation of kids. The one with Robin Williams as adult Peter Pan. You can easily spot a few scenes from the movie.

The presentation is polished; the interface is clear and intuitive, but I find the overall atmosphere a bit dull and generic. Maybe it’s missing the soundtrack of a Loom, or the humour of a Monkey Island, or maybe I’ve just gotten too old and jaded.

If it can spares you ten minutes of circular dialogue: when your character speaks, use the right-click to choose different replies. It’s the only way to end a conversation. I wish I’d known that ten minutes earlier! My attitude towards this game would’ve been a lot more charitable.

Finally, if you understand even a little English, I’d suggest skipping the lamentable French translation. I’d also advise against revisiting the movie…
