Loom is a point-and-click adventure game, originating from the PC library (as evidenced by the limited colour palette). You play as Bobbin, an apprentice magician-weaver with a mysterious destiny, who must solve various puzzles using a magical distaff. Click on the distaff to play a note. Combine four notes, and a spell is cast. Keep away from children and flammable materials!
Although very short, its unique atmosphere and soundtrack (influenced by Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake) easily elevate it to classic status.
There’s a PC re-release (originally on CD) which features full voice acting and vibrant illustrations (256 colours instead of 16), at the cost of unfortunate cuts… It’s available for purchase on Steam and GOG.
