A bidirectional shooter, heavily inspired by Dropzone (Commodore 64, 1984), a famous clone of Defender. It features more enemies (bosses), new weapons and power-ups (shield, missiles, rapid fire, double shot), and boasts impressive speed. But it’s tough … agonizingly, terrifyingly, insanely tough. You’ll be left drooling.

The “rescue” part differs slightly from Defender, as you have to collect the little critters roaming the surface one by one and transport them to a portal.

Dropzone was ported to NES in 1992 and Super Nintendo in 1993 (renamed for the occasion as Super Dropzone).
