Defend freedom with fists, assault rifles, or rocket launchers. This is a “muscle infiltration” game, viewed from above; a passable conversion of the arcade game of the same name (1989).
To complete your mission, you’ll need to plant bombs at locations marked with a red cross, then make your way to the exit before the countdown runs out. Oh, and avoid getting shot. For this, you are granted the enviable ability to press yourself against walls. Another revolutionary feature: the two-player split-screen mode, which prevents the dreaded Mexican standoff situation, when you and your teammate pick opposite directions and the screen scrolls to a halt. We’ve all been there, and my partner was always wrong…
The downside: an even more limited field of vision.
It’s a fun five-minute game, but only really works with two players, and preferably on arcade (or an arcade emulator). The Amiga version, particularly ugly, is further plagued by the omission of the final scene.
Press “Alt” (player 1) or “Alt Gr” (player 2) to unleash a “super bomb”.
