This clone of Super Sprint (arcade, 1986) captures a bit of the Mad Max atmosphere: wild races in souped-up (and weaponized) American cars through arid lands or abandoned industrial zones (among others).
You race on eight tracks, first in one direction, then in the opposite, against increasingly faster opponents. After each victory, you’ll be offered the chance to upgrade your car (engine, tyres, missiles…).
I recommend the original version on an arcade emulator.
