The Meka-Chickens are about to invade the world! Only one person can stop them… It’s a chicken. His name is Alfred. He’s yellow and red, and he limps.
Alfred Chicken was originally an NES game. It was ported to several consoles and Amiga, much to your delight.
Oh yes, and he also has a bionic beak!
Update:
I had to play it again to grab new screenshots, and I think I need to revise my judgement. Despite its childlike appearance, despite my sarcasm, despite the maddening music, Alfred Chicken is definitely a pleasant surprise. Inventive mechanics, humour, secret passages. Plus, the enemies are so cute that I deliberately bump into them, thinking they’re bonuses!

The CD32 and AGA versions (and Super Nintendo, while I’m at it) feature slightly more refined backgrounds. Finally, note that a pseudo-3D adaptation was released on PlayStation in 2002 (he still limps, but now he stumbles too).
