It all began in France, when an old scientist, Professor Gudérian, built a time machine in his garage…
There are just two small details to note: it only takes you to the prehistoric era, and it’s a one-way trip—no return possible!
Despite these limitations, the machine found a certain level of success. There are plenty of people a bit out of sync with their time, or those struggling to fit into society … we could call them oddballs, and they were quick to crowd around the old man’s house to exile themselves, forever, to a world they imagined was simpler—no laws, no boundaries, no rigid morals, and no mobile phones.
Well, at this point, you’d think: “Great idea.” The character introduction takes a while, but it promises interesting moments when these cheerful psychopaths meet their fate on the other side and, sooner or later, start brawling…
But alas, at their arrival in the Pliocene, it all goes downhill: they end up enslaved by a gang of telepathic extraterrestrials!
Oh, right…
No, I didn’t quite get hooked!
