The Toyottes are a species of mutant rats that have replaced humanity on Earth, which perished after yet another war…

This is the adaptation of an obscure ’80s comic series by Raoul Cauvin and Louis-Michel Carpentier. Despite its cartoonish, wacky appearance, and equally ridiculous sound effects, the game didn’t manage to keep my attention for long.

You move through a maze presented in isometric 3D, a tangle of platforms, stairs, ladders, knotted ropes, and pipes, built over several floors and populated by creatures that either want your skin (the small ones) or block your way, waiting for you to bring them a specific item (the big ones). I should also mention that there are doors in the scenery leading to a second layer, much like in Premiere.

The character controls feel confusing and irritating. Then again, that’s the essence of a maze, right? So, if you enjoy searching for things and running in circles, this game’s for you. Don’t forget to tap the controller button when an enemy grabs you. This will extend your life expectancy.
