This is my kind of game! Backgrounds that look like they were drawn by a two-year-old, eye-searing colours, and music that’ll haunt you all day long!

It’s a mix of Sokoban (PC-DOS, 1984) and Pengo (arcade, 1982). Your goal is to shove blocks toward any exit you can reach while avoiding contact with monsters. You can squash those monsters under the blocks for extra points, but they’ll respawn shortly after—sometimes right on top of you.

The game is incredibly frustrating due to its unforgiving time limits. On top of that, the lack of a password system is a real motivation killer. Thankfully, the trainer version on emulator fixes both issues.

And to bring the whole family into it: Eggerland Mystery (MSX, 1985).
