Look how cute the environments are—it’s like a mini-golf course! Unfortunately, that’s about the only thing the game has going for it.
The first detail that stands out when watching the demo is the complete lack of collisions between cars. I was so looking forward to shoving my rivals off the road, but nope. Then you start a race, and any lingering shred of hope vanishes. The controls are so abysmal that you’re forced to keep the handbrake on for the entire race; otherwise, it’s the same old trifecta: spin-out, wall, explosion.
And the worst part… Here it is! Can someone tell me where I left my car this time?
Note: If the bottom of the screen appears cropped in WinUAE, uncheck the “NTSC” box in the “Chipset” tab.
