Ramor, the cursed god, is about to break free from his magical shell, and the world of Akbar is in peril. The witch-princess Mara sends her daughter, Pélisse, accompanied by the hero Bragon, in search of the bird of time…

A faithful adaptation of the famous comic book by Le Tendre and Loisel (after Passengers on the Wind the year before). The staging is immersive, with plenty of dialogues in a style that closely mirrors the albums. The illustrations are stunning, and the icon-based interface is both subtle and ergonomic (once you’ve read the manual).

On the downside, the game itself can be discouraging at times. You’re never quite sure what to do or where to go, and it’s all too easy to make a wrong decision that ruins your chances of reaching the end, or forget to pick up an item along the way.

Though it may not have reconciled me with adventure games, it might at least get me back into comic books…
