The Amiga adaptation of Fuzzball (MSX, 1986), an unofficial clone of the legendary arcade game Q*Bert (1982).
The playing field is a pyramid made up of 28 cubes. You control an orange character sporting a big nose (in the original version), hopping from cube to cube. As you go, the top faces of the cubes change colour. Once all the cubes are “marked”, you move on to the next level. The cube layout is always the same, but in the advanced levels, you’ll need to jump twice, or even three times, on each square, and increasingly numerous creatures will, of course, disrupt your plans.
In the arcade version, the character was known for “cursing” every time he lost a life, with a completely unintelligible synthesized voice.
This game was distributed as a covermount for CU Amiga (issue 41, September 1992). You’ll find it on some emulation sites, under the “Coverdisks” section.
