An outright plagiarism of Super Mario Bros. that was quickly pulled from sale after Nintendo’s complaints. Of course, this had the opposite effect, and the game was massively distributed underground…
Back then, we all wanted to play Mario, and that’s all we got on Amiga.
The “original” version on Commodore 64 contains more music.
Note the existence of two remakes: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (2012) and Giana Sisters 2D (2015); the latter, ironically, based on the 2009 Nintendo DS version.
