Doom! They did it! It took years before its developer, id Software, finally released its source code for free (in the shareware version, let’s not get carried away) so that some computing whizzes could manage to port it to the Amiga.

There are several well-made and smooth fan-made ports (Amiga Doom, DoomAttack, ADoom…). That said, I’m still an advocate for playing our games on their original platforms, so I’d recommend the PC version. You’ll get to enjoy the Doomsday engine (high-definition graphics), a better-quality soundtrack, extra levels, multiplayer mode, and (most importantly for me) an easy mouse/keyboard configuration.
In any case, be aware that the full version is still paid (five euros on Steam in 2012).

The original also has its page here.
