This interactive fiction is set in the 1930s in the United States. You play as private detective Sam Harlow, who’s clearly not having his best day… Someone is trying to kill him with great enthusiasm, and his wife has just been kidnapped. It’s up to you to figure out why, find the culprit, and gather the evidence.

While the illustrations and interface have the merit of existing, they serve purely decorative purposes. You won’t advance in the game by clicking on images but by typing sentences on the keyboard (in English). The same goes for the shortcuts (keys “F1” to “F10” and the inventory in the form of icons), which are useful, but they don’t spare you the need to take notes on paper and draw a map (what the fans expect, of course). Also, be prepared to save constantly, because you die about every screen, multiple times!
