Megaman
So, at the beginning, a robot designer called Dr. Light created 8 new humanoid robots (Rock, Roll, Cutman, Gutsman, Elecman, Iceman, Fireman and Bombman) to facilitate the human work. But one day, Dr. Wily, assistant of Dr. Light, reprogrammed all them for world conquest. Happily, Rock and Roll resisted the reprogrammation and Rock volunteered to become a fighter robot, Megaman (alias Rockman) was born. He fought all of Dr. Wily's robots, stole their powers and brought the mad doctor to justice.

Megaman 2
Dr. Wily created eight robot masters of his own, tried to conquer the world again and Mega Man defeated him again.

Megaman 3
Pardonned, Dr. Wily joined Dr. Light to create a peace-keeping robot: Gamma. Alas, the parts needed to finish him are guarded by eight Robot Masters breaking havoc on mining planets. Megaman is sent to claim the parts for Gamma. On his way, he met a mysterious robot calling himself Breakman (who's Protoman, his long lost brother). When all the eight parts have been gathered, eight new robots called Doc Robots appear. Those robots seem to have the powers of the Robot Masters of his previous mission (MM2). When, at last, Megaman defeats all of the Doc Mens, Dr. Light contacts him in catastrophe: Dr. Wily had stolen Gamma, those Doc Robots have been sent by Dr. Wily to slow Megaman down while he finished the peace-keeping robot (no more!). At Dr. Wily's castle, our hero fights Gamma, a huge robot and Dr. Wily begs Megaman for mercy as usual.

Megaman 4
One day, Dr. Light received a message from Dr. Cossack, a russian robot designer, he wanted to prove he was the best in the robotic field. So he challenged Megaman to fight his eight Robot Masters. When Megaman defeated all the Robot Masters and Dr. Cossack, Protoman appeared with Kalinka, daughter of Dr. Cossack. She ask to not hurt her father, because Dr. Wily forced him to fight Megaman. Then, Dr. Wily appeared too, yelled at Protoman's betrayal and swore to destroy Megaman. Megaman fought Wily again and defeated him, he escaped, leaving Megaman into his falling fortress. Of course, he teleported out and got back home.

Megaman 5
Many months later, Dr Cossack contacted Megaman, he told him that Protoman had kidnapped Dr. Light and rushed his robot masters into the world to cause chaos. Megaman went to the battle and when he met Protoman, the latter almost destroyed him and a whistle could be heard. The real Protoman appeared, revealed the identity of the fake Protoman, a robot made by Dr. Wily. Megaman won again and Wily... Guess what ? Escaped.

Megaman 6
A competition was held between eight of the world's most powerful robot masters. The sponsor of the tournament, Mr. X, took all of the robots and attempted to take on the world. He said that he was controlling Dr. Wily over all those years and wanted to make his own move. Megaman was called to the rescue, he was now to use Rush to do powerful punches and fly with a jet pack. Megaman defeated Mr. X and at this moment, he removed his mask and proved to be none other that Dr. Wily. As usual, the mad doctor was beaten, brought to justice and put in jail.

Megaman now on Supernintendo for a soccer tournament against Wily's robots! This time when you beat a level you don't win the boss' weapon but the robot master himself who joins your team! There are several modes for one or two player(s). A Good game for the fans only.

Megaman 7
Six months later, Robots Masters begun searching for Dr. Wily. Megaman, Dr. Light, Rush, Roll and Auto, Dr. Light first robot student, went to the scene just as Dr. Wily escaped from his prison. Megaman followed Wily's spaceship and met Bass and Treble, a robot and a robo-dog who claimed to be fighting against Wily and went away. Megaman fought four robot masters and asked Dr. Light what he thought of Bass, he said that he believed he is not their enemy and hurried to the Robot museum because Dr. Wily was there. Indeed, Wily was there, stealing Gutsman from the museum and ran away with him. While fighting four other robot masters, Megaman met Bass again, who was really weak, Megaman gave him access to Dr. Light's lab for some repairs. When he got back to the lab and saw it all destroyed, Dr. Light said that Bass went berserk after his repairs, then Dr. Wily contacted them and said Bass and Treble were his creations and now, they could use the enhancements meant for Megaman and Rush. Megaman was furious and went Dr. Wily's castle, defeated Bass, Treble and Wily. Megaman wanted to shoot the evil scientist for good, but the castle began to collapse and Dr. Wily was stuck under debris. Bass and Treble rescued their master and Megaman was forced to teleport out of the castle.

Megaman 8
First one on Playstation, the story starts in deep space: two robots, one surrounded by a blue aura and one by a purple skull-shaped aura, are fighting. After some attacks, the purple one is dead and the other is unconscious and they are crashing toward Earth. In the following scene, Megaman and Bass are fighting too. They are interrupted by Roll, who is calling Megaman for something important. Megaman enters Roll "car" and Dr. Light explains that two meteors have landed on a deserted island. Then, Megaman goes to the island and encounters some familiar robots and... Dr. Wily, who is taking something from a crater and flees. Megaman finds an unconscious robot into the crater and takes it back to Dr. Light's lab for repairs. After, our hero beats four of Wily's robots, takes some weird devices from them, and takes them back to Dr. Light. The doctor concludes that the purple orbs are energy ressources unknown on Earth. While Megaman and Dr. Light search for Dr. Wily, the strange robot, repaired, wakes up, sees and destroys the purple orbs and escapes by crashing into the lab ceiling. Megaman follows and begins to fight with him in a cavern. After some attacks, the robot finds out that Megaman is not an evil guy. Protoman appears and the robot escapes again. Protoman explains to his brother that the Wily Tower is just ahead and teleports away. Megaman runs for the Tower, but he is captured by a giant robot made by Dr. Wily. Hopefully, the strange robot rescues Megaman: He is called Duo, he's fighting against the Evil Energy, that was in those purple orbs. To destroy the rest of the Evil Energy, they must fight four other robots. Megaman continues his mission, finally enters the Wily Tower and beats against Bass and Treble, who interfaced with Evil Energy. When Megaman arrives at Dr. Wily's hideout, he is captured by an energy net and rescued again by Duo. Alas, Duo is seriously weakened and taken away by Protoman. Finally, Megaman beats Dr. Wily, but he surrounded by Evil Energy before the castle collapses. After, we find Megaman lying outside, lifeless. Duo removes the Evil Energy from Megaman in order to save him, then goes away. Megaman awakes in Dr. Light's lab and then, he is found into a field, watching at the sunset. Protoman appears and tells Megaman Duo's last message: "thank you!"
